As the year winds to a close, many movies are still to come out. The variants of movies are vast and numerous.
The tastes in movies amongst people is about as variant as the movies coming out this winter.
Middle school boys’ and high school girls’ assistant basketball coach Chris Sanders said that he was most excited to see “The Revenant” and “Concussion.”
Senior Bryce McKennon shares the interest in the film “Concussion.”
The film, starring Will Smith, is about an autopsy on former NFL football player Mike Webster, when he finds a deterioration of his brain and begins a mission to raise public awareness about football-related head trauma.
Although ranked 75 on IMDb’s most popular feature films released in 2015, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is topping the charts.
Many people plan on watching the movie as soon as it comes out.
McKennon plans on watching the film on Dec. 19 with his girlfriend, sophomore Madison Tyler, and best friend, fellow senior Brady McComb.
The new flick is a continuation of the popular science fiction saga created by George Lucas, set after “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.” The original three stars, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are back, along with newcomers Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.
The most popular movies of the year seem to have a correlation of being a thriller, whether it be an action, historical, sci-fi or some other genre. Whatever a person’s tastes may be in their movies, there is sure to be one coming out this winter, for all to enjoy.
