The boys’ basketball season went well, ending with a 17-5 record.
Track season is in full swing with one week of practices down. The team introduced three new coaches to the program.
High school cheer coach Kim Lee received the 2017 National Federation coach of the year award at the first ever Kansas Cheer Competition. She has been coaching for 25 years now. Lee’s first squad was in 1989. Between then and now she had taken time off to help her own kids when they were younger. In that time she also coached middle school cheerleading.
The boys’ basketball team started their season on December 1 against the St. John Tigers. Although they did come up short in score, it was the smallest spread of points against St. John in recent years.
A coaching change up hit the boys’ basketball team this summer. Former assistant, Kenny Eddy has taken over as head coach for the first time.
The cheer squad has set off for Topeka where they will be competing in KSHSAA’s first annual Game Day competition.
